Chris has over eight years of experience working with children through older adults and a passion for working with people of marginalized backgrounds, especially within the LGBTQ+ community. He has a background working in a community setting in which he worked with everything from adjusting to new life circumstances, spirituality issues, marital therapy, depression, anxiety, severe and chronic mental health conditions, and substance use treatment. Chris's approach to working with his clients is from the perspective that his clients are the experts on themselves and their lives. He believes that the key to healing lies in becoming a more authentic version of oneself, and strives to help his clients achieve that. He has experience using a variety of therapy modalities and will strive to work with you to find the best possible fit for where you are in your life at this time.
He would also like you to know he is currently working toward his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and will be seeing clients virtually with few if any, in-person days. While this means his schedule is somewhat limited, Chris is committed to working with you to find times that work within your schedule and is willing to be flexible with when and how often he meets with you to make sure your needs are met.
